Yes, there is a certain level of responsibility amongst celebrities to be positive role models. Especially when youngsters see someone, they look up to speaking out, it can be influential. In today’s world many get inspired by celebrities because of admiring them. At the end of the day, it’s the individual’s decision to choose which are good to follow, and which are not. 6) What do you think is the biggest problem faced by young people on today’s social media?
According to me, social media is necessary for youngsters because it gives them access to make connections for academic and professional reasons. One of the biggest problems that comes with it, is the peer pressure and competition. One can get so much exposure to another person’s life on social media that it could naturally lead to a lot of pressure on oneself which needs to be taken care of. I want to remind everyone that each one’s journey is unique. Stop comparing yourself with others. Your only competition should be with the person you were yesterday. So, learn to be the best version of yourself.
7) Share about your support systems.
My husband and my mom are my biggest support system. They always motivate me, encourage me in anything I choose to do. They are my pillar of strength. Most of all it is their belief in me that I am meant to do greater in life.
8) Is social media bringing people together or causing separation?
Social media is definitely, bringing people together. It helps to make connections with people who are especially far away. It also connects like-minded people from different backgrounds. We feel more united with our loved ones even if separated by distance. At the same time, we should not forget to spend quality time with family in real life. Personally, I make it a point to keep my phone away while having lunch or dinner at home to have meaningful conversation and to share good times.
9) Why is your platform important to you?
My platform is important to me because it gives me an opportunity to showcase my talents, knowledge and skills in front of the world. It gives me a voice not just for myself but I can also voice out for others.
It allows me to make a positive influence in the community. I am able to contribute my work for the social causes that I believe in, through this platform.
10) Why did you decide to enter the modelling industry?
I choose modelling because it is my passion and my dream. I love being in front of the camera. I always wanted to make my career in performing arts right from my teenage. I have made my passion and dream into reality only with my efforts and determination without any family background in the media industry. While doing modelling I also got opportunities to act so I took it up. I acted in short films and played a supporting role in a kollywood movie. I also love to dance.
